The 2018 Global Forum on Remittances, Investment and Development (GFRID 2018) will take place in Kuala Lumpur on May 8-10. It is organized by Bank Negara Malaysia (the Central Bank of Malaysia), in collaboration with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Bank Group.

The GFRID servers as a platform to raise awareness, facilitate dialogue and promote collaboration on the contribution of migrant remittances to development. It brings together Member States, international organizations, private sector and civil society for stakeholders to showcase good practices and build partnerships to leverage the role of remittances toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The GFRID 2018 will focus on the Asia-Pacific area. It will build on recommendations made during the GFRID 2017, and will highlight the latest findings and linkages between remittances and development in Asia-Pacific.

As space is limited, Forum attendance is by invitation only. However, if you are interested in attending, we kindly ask you to submit your expression of interest through a short survey here. After review and approval of your submission, you will receive a formal invitation with a link to the registration page. Deadline is April 23!
