Representatives of the local government units (LGUs) from Batangas, Laguna, Cavite, Tarlac and Bohol will join the Pinoy WISE International Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Around 300 participants are expected to gather on November 7 and 8, 2014 at the Crowne Plaza, Abu Dhabi for the Pinoy WISE International Conference. With the theme “Engaging Overseas Filipinos in Migration and Development Initiatives,” the conference aims to provide a forum for Filipinos, whether as individuals or through their organizations, to discuss how overseas migration can have a deeper and beneficial impact at the community and family levels in the Philippines.

The event organizers – the Pinoy Worldwide Initiative for Investment, Savings and Entrepreneurship (Pinoy WISE) International-UAE, an organization involved in providing financial education to Filipino migrants in UAE; Atikha; and Bayanihan Council, an umbrella organization of all Filipino associations in Abu Dhabi – will hold the event to mobilize overseas Filipinos and their families on both sides of the migration corridor to save and invest to enable successful reintegration back into their hometowns.
