Ms. Petra Hueck, Programme Manager, by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The International Catholic Migration Commission (ICMC) is an international non-governmental organisation serving and protecting uprooted people–refugees, internally displaced persons and migrants–regardless of faith, race, ethnicity or nationality. ICMC advocates for rights-based policies and durable solutions directly and through a worldwide network of member bishops conferences, and alongside government and non-governmental partners.
ICMC Europe is recruiting for the post of DRIVE Project Coordinator for the implementation of a new ICMC EU-funded project: Transnational NGO Cooperation in Differentiation, Refugee Identification and Vulnerability Evaluations for Referral (DRIVE). The position will be based in Brussels, Belgium, with travel in Europe.
DRIVE is a practices and policy partnership of eight national, regional and international non-governmental organisations (NGOs) collaborating with international, intergovernmental and national authorities to analyse current practices and make recommendations for better identification, protection and referral of boat people arriving in Italy, Malta, Greece and Spain.
The project aims to initiate and strengthen networking and capacity-building among NGOs, local service providers, international institutions and EU member states by promoting, on a regional level, the capacity of engaged stakeholders to identify and refer refugees and others in need of protection within mixed maritime flows (including specifically children, women and victims of trafficking, torture and trauma) to protection-sensitive processes through the elaboration of good practices, training and mechanisms for differentiation and referral.
Interested candidates are requested to submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae and cover letter detailing relevant experience to Ms. Petra Hueck, Programme Manager: email@example.com.
Vacancy notice identification number DC/ICMC_EU/10 and the applicant's full name must be quoted in the email subject line.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 20 March 2010. Receipt of application form will be acknowledged. Interviews for short listed candidates will be communicated to those individuals only.
ICMC is committed to equal opportunities for applicants and employees. All applications will be treated in strict confidence.
