Vacancy For an Internship At D18 To Work On The Radio1812 Project
December 18 – D 18 – is the international advocacy and resource centre on the human rights of migrant workers. We promote an approach to migration policies that is based on existing international and regional human rights instruments and mechanisms.

Interns play an important role in the projects and ongoing work of December 18. They are offered an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the different facets of working in an international NGO that is active at the international as well as European level.
6 months Internship
Start date: 1 October 2010
Finish date: 31 March 2011
Interns will receive a compensation of 693 € per month. They will be employed under the Belgian convention d’immersion professionnelle and are covered by the Belgian social security. This type of internship can’t be offered to students with an internship as obligatory requirement in their study programme (bachelor; master).

The successful candidate for this position will coordinate a European project supporting peer-reviews between cities on migration/integration policy. The project builds on the EUROCITIES Integrating Cities Charter as well as previous projects (see www.integratingcities.eu) and will be delivered by EUROCITIES in cooperation with 15 member cities and expert partners. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Project Manager at the EUROCITIES Brussels Office.
