The United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Populations Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM),the International Labor Organization (ILO) as well as the International Organization for Migration (IOM), have agreed to support the NCCSR to conduct a comprehensive nationwide study on human trafficking trends in Egypt.
Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that these United Nations agencies and the IOM will support the Government to expand efforts to tackle human trafficking, with a special focus on raising public awareness through media campaigns and building the capacities of relevant stakeholders.
