Right in the middle of the financial crisis, migrants keep supporting their families who live in the South and become therefore a driving force for development in their country of origin. Moreover, they contribute to the development of their host country by taking part in their material enrichment. The lecture aims to show how migration and remittances can help in weakening the financial crisis effects.
